Whereas
Melville E. Ingalls, has shown distinguished public spirit and
ardent zeal for the good of Cincinnati, notably in the promaotion
of the annual EXPOSITION of INDUSTRY in the establishment of
the Museum of Arts, in the inception and completion of the  
GRAND CENTRAL PASSENGER STATION, as well as in divers other
ways advancing the Educational and Material interestsa of the
City Resolved.
That in recognition such commandable service, the thanks of this
Community are hereby tendered him Through The Order of
Cincinnatis.
