This watercolor is one of over 150 works of art by Gayle B. Tate from the collection of M.
Kenneth Allen in Hendersonville. Mr. Allen built this collection over a 20 year period. A painting
from his collection was sold at Sotheby"s N.Y. in Sept. 1996, Lot #172 titled "Don't Bet On It" for
a record price at that time of $14,950.00

The monogram, which is a part of every Gayle B. Tate signature, is a simple dove. This symbol
of the Holy Spirit is Tate's continuing acknowledgment of source of inspiration, strength and
skill.

The pipe in this watercolor was purchased from an estate in Williamsburg, Virginia by Mr. Allen
in the early 1990's. This painting is framed and matted under glass. This stunning painting will
make a wonderful addition to your collection.
